Excess lint in your dryer and vent is Dangerous !

According to the National Fire Protection Association, nearly 17,000 home clothes dryer fires are reported each year. These clothes dryer fires cause around 51 deaths, 380 injuries, and $236 million in property loss.

Dryer fire safety is a serious and often overlooked issue. Some signs that your dryer and vent need servicing are:

  1. If your dryer takes longer than normal to dry a load of clothes.

  2. If your dryer gets very warm or hot to the touch during a drying cycle.

  3. If your clothes have a musty smell after a drying cycle.

  4. If your dryer repeatedly stops during a cycle.

  5. If it has been over a year since your last dryer and vent cleaning.

If you are experiencing any of these issues, please give us a call today !

Additional benefits to keeping your dryer & vent clean and in good repair.

  1. Added energy efficiency, saving you time and money, an average of $15 per month. ( This service could pay for itself ! )

  2. Reduced wear and tear on your dryer & clothing.

  3. Elimination of mold & mildew growth due to the inability of hot, moist air to escape through the vent.

  4. Elimination of musty smell on clothing.

  5. Elimination of Carbon Monoxide build up in your home.

Note: CARBON MONOXIDE is an odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas that can result in illness and even death when inhaled at or above a certain concentration.

Why us ?

Why Choose Us ?  Because we do so much more !

At DryerFire, we don't want to be that company that quotes you a price of $130 to $160 and then runs to your home, spends 15 or 30 minutes cleaning your vent from the outside only, never entering your home and assures you that your dryer vent system is clean and safe. It is simply impossible to do the job correctly in that amount of time. ( Our average cleaning takes 2.5 to 3 hours to complete )

At DryerFire, we strive to give you the best value for your money by evaluating your entire dryer vent system and performing the most thorough cleaning possible. ( Including the inside of your dryer - When major disassembly is NOT required ) We care about you, your family and your home and we realize the possible consequences of a job half done !

Read Our Procedure below to see that this work cannot be accomplished in 15 or 30 minutes !

Your dryer & vent are indeed one system.

Does it really make sense to clean your vent and ignore your clothes dryer ?

The photo shown is an extreme example of a blockage found on a vent inside the dryer ( Look closely to see 3 small holes at the very top ). If there was no attempt to find and clean this blockage, the dryer would never have operated properly and would still be a potential fire hazard !

This is a photo of a dryer that I actually cleaned.

Our Proceedure

Our Procedure

  1. Thoroughly inspect the entire dryer vent system, either externally or with a camera from inside the dryer vent.

  2. Take note of anything that is inefficient or most importantly, unsafe.

  3. Take preliminary airflow readings at the outside vent.

  4. Carefully move the dryer away from the wall.

  5. Clean the floor beneath the dryer.

  6. Clean the entire dryer vent system using a rotary brush and a H.E.P.A. filtered vacuum.

  7. Clean the outside discharge vent & insure proper operation of backdraft damper.

  8. Clean the inside of the dryer. ( When only minimal disassembly is required - 90% of all dryers)  If major disassembly is required, this service will need to be done by an appliance repair technician.

  9. Clean the lint screen and the inside of dryer behind the lint screen.

  10. Carefully move dryer back into place.

  11. Take final airflow readings at the outside discharge vent to ensure proper airflow.

  12. Recommend any repairs or adjustments that might be required to make the dryer vent system efficient & most importantly safe. ( Most repairs can be made same day )

  13. Spotless cleanup.

Our Commitment

We will strive to: â€‹

  1. Schedule your appointment ASAP.

  2. Show up on time.

  3. Notify you when we are on our way.

  4. Leave your home cleaner than we found it.

  5. Treat your home like it was our own.

Our Process

Unlike companies using only air pressure to blow your vent out, making a mess in your home or yard, we use a rotary  brush to scrub your vent clean.

We also connect an industrial H.E.P.A. filtered vacuum to the vent to contain the lint and ensure a dust free home.

Above and Beyond

All services include:

  1. Cleaning of inside of dryer, (When only minimal disassembly is required - 90% of all dryers ) lint trap, lint trap plenum & vent.

  2. Inspection of entire dryer vent system.

  3. Airflow readings taken before and after vent cleaning.

  4. Spotless Cleanup.

Prompt Repairs

Although it is impossible to foresee what is needed for all repairs, we will strive to keep our truck equipped with the necessary materials to ensure a prompt repair.

Your safety is our top priority !
